I love fitness, exercising, and feeling strong and healthy.  I love fitness so much that I’m a certified Spin and Group Power instructor.  I taught group fitness exercise at Equinox about 5 years ago while in college and once I graduated to pursue a career in Business Management, teaching had to take backseat as I felt I was juggling too much at one time.  However, it’s always been a passion of mine and I never stopped loving it.  One day I’d like to teach again and it’s always in the back of my mind…hopefully one day again I’ll get to.  And if you have any Spinning or Group Power questions, please ask as I’d be more than happy to help :)

My workouts range from a variety of different things such as taking spinning classes (my fav!), a 3 mile run, bootcamp classes, interval training, free weights, and incline walking.  Somedays I like to plan my workouts, others I like to just go with the flow and do what my body and my mind feel like doing at that moment.  Below is a daily log of my workouts to give you an idea of the variety (with a focus of spinning ;) ) I like to incorporate and to keep me on track with my workouts as well.  Enjoy!

***October – Present: Adjusting exercise to a lower intensity and duration to regain my cycles and start ovulating: Exercising 4 days per week – walking/light elliptical for 30 minutes

Friday – 30 min. elliptical, 30 min. incline walking (2.0-4.0 mph @ 15% incline)

Saturday – 55 min. Spin class

Sunday – 30 min. elliptical, 30 min. incline walking (3.0 mph @ 15% incline)

July 4 – 10:

Monday – Off

Tuesday – 30 min. elliptical (interval setting), 30 min. incline walking (3.0-4.0 mph @ 15% incline)

Wednesday – 30 min. elliptical, 3 mile run @ 10.0 minute mile, 1% incline

Thursday – 55 min. Spin class, 20 min. free weight circuit: upright rows, overhead presses, bicep curls, squats, lunges – 3 sets of 15 reps all done on a Bosu Ball

Friday – 55 min. Spin class

Saturday – 55 min. Spin class

Sunday – 60 min. treadmill walk @ 3.2 mph

June 27 – July 3:

Monday – 55 min. Spin class

Tuesday – 55 min. Spin class (with my workout buddy! :) )

Wednesday – 15 min. Ab class followed by a 45 min. Medicine Ball Madness class – here’s a description of it:

A combo cardio/strength training class designed around the use of a weighted medicine ball. Functional training exercises, with the ball and other tools, combined with fun cardio based drills provide a total body workout with special attention paid to the lower body and core.

Thursday – 55 min. Spin class

Friday – 30 min. elliptical (interval setting), 30 min. incline walking (3.0-4.0 mph @ 15% incline)

Saturday – 3 mile walk

Friday: 55 min. Spin class, 20 min. free weight routine (3 sets, 15 reps – overhead press, upright rows, bicep curls, and chest press)

Saturday: 55 min. Spin class

Sunday: 30min. light elliptical, 10 min. stretching
